Countermeasures for radiation immunity testing using a small loop antenna.

[Application Example] Radiation Immunity Test Measures Using a Small Loop Antenna

Our company can conduct a simple "radiated immunity test" at frequencies from 80MHz to 500MHz with a field strength of 30V/m for pre-evaluation before bringing the Equipment Under Test (EUT) to the EMC test site, as well as for evaluating the effectiveness of countermeasures. To perform the radiated immunity test at low frequencies of 80MHz to 500MHz with a strong electric field of 30V/m, we use a very confined space known as a shielded box, compared to an anechoic chamber, by placing a small loop antenna close to the EUT (within ~5cm). [Test Procedure] [Calibration] 1) Set up the electric field probe at the EUT installation position for calibration. 2) Adjust the level of the signal generator to achieve the desired electric field strength. 3) Determine the level of the signal generator. [Test] 1) Install the EUT and set it to the level determined during calibration. 2) Conduct tests to check if the EUT malfunctions. 3) Repeat the test while moving the antenna up, down, left, and right. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Magnetic Field Immunity Test Device MTS-800

Magnetic Field Immunity Test Device MTS-800

Automotive electronic components and in-vehicle devices are increasingly being utilized for electronic control of engines and brakes, AV, car navigation, ETC, ITS, and more. Additionally, the number of vehicle types equipped with high-voltage motors in powertrains, such as hybrid and electric vehicles, is also increasing, making the importance of EMC testing for quality and safety even greater. The MTS-800 has been developed as a system to test the immunity of in-vehicle electronic components and devices when exposed to strong magnetic field noise. To conduct immunity tests against magnetic field noise, the DUT is exposed to a magnetic field generated by Helmholtz coils, and immunity is evaluated at specified frequencies and test levels. Necessary functions for testing, such as a signal generator, high-precision power amplifier, and spectrum analyzer, are integrated into a single unit, and the GUI software for system control allows for the execution of self-calibration and automatic measurement of test contents in accordance with standards.

Broadband antenna proximity immunity test

AWGN modulation correspondence! Conducting proximity tests with wideband interference waves.

The "Antenna Proximity Immunity Test" is a test that evaluates the resistance of electronic devices by using antennas designed for immunity to nearby electromagnetic fields, generating strong electric fields for each frequency of interference wave. In the field of automotive EMC, it is standardized as ISO 11452-9 (Portable Transmitters). Our organization has restructured and implemented the antenna proximity immunity test system to accommodate not only the modulation conditions of interference waves specified in the standard, such as AM (Amplitude Modulation) and PM (Pulse Modulation), but also the AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) modulation added in ISO 11452-9:2021. 【Target Applications】 ■ Bluetooth, WLAN (data), Wi-Fi ■ LTE (mobile devices using OFDMA and SC-FDMA) ■ IEEE 802.11a (5GHz band Wi-Fi) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
